HPA Graduation Stage BannerHigh Point Academy Spartanburg is pleased to announce we will hold our 2020 graduation ceremony on Friday, May 29, at 10:00 A.M. We are excited to present the Class of 2020 with 53 graduates receiving high school diplomas. This group of graduates is the third class to earn diplomas from High Point Academy.

While we feel it is important to recognize the accomplishments of our seniors, we must also do so in a safe and sanitary atmosphere during this time of COVID-19. High Point Academy will follow the guidelines and suggestions set forth by the C.D.C., S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control, and the State Department of Education. Safety precautions will include limiting graduating students to three guests. Visitors attending the ceremony will be required to sit in pre-marked areas, and guests must wear a mask while on campus. The event will be live-streamed for additional family members and friends who are unable to attend.

We are pleased to have community leader and activist Ms. Mary L. Thomas deliver our commencement address. She has over 25 years of serving the Spartanburg area and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of The Spartanburg County Foundation. Ms. Thomas is a graduate of Winthrop University and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and Communications. Ms. Thomas is a former French teacher in Spartanburg District 7 schools.

Please join us on the 29th inside the Performing Arts Center on the campus of High Point Academy for this exciting ceremony.
