The month of March is National Reading Month, with the week of March 2-6 designated as Read Across America Week. Students will take time to celebrate various authors, with an intentional focus on inclusivity. Next week, students in elementary and middle school will celebrate the joy of reading each day. Seventh and eighth-grade students will visit elementary classrooms as guest readers to read aloud a picture book. All middle school students will have the opportunity to pair up with an elementary class for Buddy Readers Day. Additionally, elementary students will have the chance to showcase their favorite book character by dressing up for Book Character Day on Friday. You can see the week’s schedule below.
