SPARTANBURG, SC – The High Point Academy Board of Directors is excited to announce they are extending the contract of Superintendent Dr. Brodie Bricker for one year. The decision will also remove the interim label and secure Dr. Bricker’s leadership through the 2020-2021 school year.
Dr. Bricker joined High Point Academy as Interim Superintendent on June 10. “In the five months Dr. Bricker has served as our Interim Superintendent, he has exercised his decisive leadership style to move High Point Academy forward as an educational institution,” said Robert Gouge, Chairman High Point Academy Board of Directors. “He has assembled a dynamic administration who are dedicated to providing the best education for students as well as professional and committed leadership for our faculty and staff.”
Dr. Bricker has demonstrated insightful direction in planning for the future of High Point Academy, including facilities and innovative strategies that will prove to be beneficial for future growth. Through his short tenure, he has demonstrated successful leadership. He has worked tirelessly to bring positive changes to the High Point Academy family. Dr. Bricker is serving in his 50th year as an educational leader. His extensive experience as an administrator has enabled him to guide High Point Academy to the next level as a South Carolina Charter School.
