This month’s High Point Academy Spartanburg Staff Spotlight is Christine Sawyer. She is our English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Coordinator. Mrs. Sawyer enjoys teaching English to diverse language groups and cultures. She holds a B.A. in French and an M.Ed. in Teaching English as a Second Language. She became a teacher because she wanted to share her enthusiasm for languages with others. Her teaching experience includes teaching high school French and over ten years of teaching English as a second language to speakers of more than thirty different language groups in Raleigh, NC.
Two years ago she moved back to her hometown of Spartanburg. She joined the team at High Point because she heard wonderful things about the school from family and friends in the area. In her free time, Mrs. Sawyer enjoys DIY projects, gardening, and traveling.
