This month’s Middle School Spotlight is Ms. Savanna Cashion. This is her first year at High Point Academy teaching 7th-grade science. Ms. Cashion draws on her experiences with N.C. Coastal Federation, zoological and conservation programs, and children’s programs to make learning creative and meaningful. She enjoys making connections with students and helping them through tough situations, whether just being someone who genuinely cares about them or taking a challenging unit and helping it click. Ms. Cashion even manages to make the Periodic Table fun! In addition to teaching seventh grade, Ms. Cashion assists with the Beta Club and hosts the ecology club and the Jr. Vet program.
Ms. Cashion is a mid-West farm girl at heart. Outside of school, she finds peace in her garden and enjoys trail riding every chance she gets.
