Thanksgiving Food Drive

High Point Academy | Spartanburg, SCThe holiday season is quickly approaching, and for many of us, this is a special time of the year to spend with friends and family. It’s also a special time for our school to help those in need in our community. Each year around Thanksgiving High Point Academy organizes a canned food drive with all donated items going to a local food pantry.

Monday and Tuesday we will collect canned goods and dry goods. On Tuesday students may free dress with a donated item. Each student is encouraged to wear their favorite sports team apparel.

Community food drives like ours help make sure families can get emergency food assistance when they need it. Please give what you can. One grocery bag of food can provide as many as 11 meals. Every single donation helps, and together we hope our combined contributions will make a real difference for those in need. Here are some suggested donations canned vegetables, dried beans, fruit canned in its juices, canned soups, beef stew, canned tuna & chicken, pasta, and rice.

Donations will be collected each morning at the school entrance. Elementary students should take items to their classrooms. On Tuesday high school students will help deliver the items. Thank you for your help and support.
